Poem: This Life Isn’t Ours To Own

3/17/2011

We were running the same route one step at a time,
   parallel to each other,
side by side following the rhythm of the other.
We tried to make it spark
   but it wouldn't work out.
We loved one another like no other
but circumstances are pulling us away from each other.
What we had is bad timing…really bad timing.
   Maybe today isn’t our time.
Maybe this life isn’t ours to own.
Maybe someday, sometime in a different dimension
Where that two oceans finally meet
I hope we would find our way back to each other
   and finally be together.

Poem: Eyes Of The Pessimist

3/15/2011

   I am a pessimist
   I see the negatives
   I judge the idiots
   I scream your woes
   I live in prejudice
   I laugh at injuries
   I embrace racism
   I support fascism
I love to see the wrong in everyone
So that I could rise among anyone
   I am prejudiced
   I discriminate
   I incriminate
   I point out the wrong.
   My soul is now blackened
   My life is now shrouded
Lies and bigotry are all consuming me
My eyes are of the negative
They are the eyes of a pessimist

Poem: Then There Was This Happy Moment

3/02/2011

Then there was this happy moment
   A short lived dream
   An escape from reality
   A fast lane to fantasy
   Every smile meant a smile
   No pretentions
   No alibis
   No lies
   No demise
It took me my lifetime to reach this moment
   Everything was good
   No glitches
   No detours
All was well until reality came to dwell
   In that moment
   In that brief moment
   Happiness was like no other
I’d rather relieve that happy moment for all eternity
Than live my life looking back,
facing regrets for the rest of my life

Poem: Hope lost

2/02/2011

When hope is gone and all is lost,
we feel the pain and mourn the loss.
The anvil fell it did not serve us well.
   So now where it is,
   is where we shall dwell.
What was once strong and holy,
now remember it is hope in name only.

Predestined Caricature Of Intimacy

1/03/2011

I breathe these living lines that pierce my beating heart
And every page of these tattered books I keep
The letters stab every ounce of me.
With these sea of words that swarm their way around me
It seems that I am a part of you and as you are of me,
That we cannot do anything but to live along with this
   Predestined caricature of intimacy.
